Privacy Policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
This policy covers the Gym Class Queeroes iPhone apps (the "app"), run by the Gym Class Queeroes kickball team ("we", "us"). The app is a private space for team members, captains, substitutes and their invited guests. You can only join with an invitation from the team.
Information you give us
- Account: your name and email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from them.
- Profile: anything you add, such as photos and cover photos, nickname and "alter ego" story, pronouns, phone number, birthday, home city, Venmo handle, social media handles, bio, fun facts, jersey number, positions, uniform size, dietary restrictions, drinking preference, favorite memories and music picks.
- Emergency contact: the name and phone number you provide, so team leaders can reach someone if you're hurt.
- Team activity: posts, comments, reactions, poll votes, chat messages, photos and photo tags, event RSVPs, award votes, game stats, and feedback or bug reports you send.
- Travel: flights, drives, open carpool seats, lodging and roommate plans you add for tournaments.
- Guests: details you enter about people you invite to a tournament, such as their name and email.
Information collected automatically
- Activity log: the original app records which screens you open and key actions, such as signing in, so team admins can troubleshoot problems and see how the app is used.
- Error reports: if the app crashes, it sends us a description of the error.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, your device's notification token is stored so we can send team alerts. In the current app, each phone is registered separately and removed when you sign out or delete your account.
- Location: only if you turn on location sharing on a tournament map. Teammates can then see where you are until you turn it off. Location is never collected in the background otherwise.
How we use information
Only to run the team app: showing rosters, schedules and stats; organizing games, travel and events; sending team announcements, reminders and messages; and keeping the app working. We do not sell information, show ads, or use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who can see your information
- Teammates: other signed-in members can see your profile, the contact details you add to it, your posts, photos, team chat messages and the travel plans you share with the team. Direct messages are visible only to the people in that conversation.
- Captains and admins: can also see the information needed to manage the team, such as rosters, RSVPs, guest lists, travel plans and the activity log. Emergency contact details are meant for them and aren't shown on your profile to other members.
Services we rely on
These companies process information on our behalf, only to provide the features listed:
- Supabase: hosts the app's database, sign-in and photo storage.
- Apple and Google: sign in with Apple or Google, if you choose them.
- Apple Push Notification service: delivers alerts to the current app.
- Expo: delivers push notifications for the original app.
- Resend: sends team emails, such as invitations and announcements.
- Google Gemini: creates the AI-generated images and stories some features offer, such as your onboarding "hero shot", birthday artwork and nickname stories. These use your profile photo and the profile details involved.
- Anthropic: answers the questions you type into "Ask the Ref", the rules assistant.
- Google Places: looks up and shows details and photos for parks, hotels and venues.
- GIPHY: receives the words you search for when picking a GIF.
- AviationStack: looks up flight details from the flight numbers you add.
- Apple (iTunes Search): searches songs when you pick entrance or karaoke music.
- Google Calendar: only if you connect it, to add team events to your calendar.
Links to Spotify, Splitwise, Venmo and maps open those services directly, and their own privacy policies apply.
How long we keep information
We keep your information while you're part of the team so the team's history, stats and photos stay intact. If you leave or ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and profile. Messages, photos and posts you shared in team spaces may remain unless you ask us to remove them too.
Your choices and requests
- You can view and edit your profile at any time in the app, and leave optional fields blank.
- You can turn off notifications and location sharing in your device settings or in the app.
- To get a copy of your information, correct it, or have your account and data deleted, email bwil0007@gmail.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and the database limits each member to what they're allowed to see. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't put anything in the app you wouldn't want your teammates to see.
Age
The app is for adult members of the team and isn't intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and announce significant changes in the app.
